The Main Causes Of Female Infertility

Infertility can be termed as the inability to conceive a child after one year of unprotected sex. The studies seem to indicate that in about one third of the cases infertility is linked to female infertility. Putting off pregnancy can also have 3-5% decrease in chance of becoming pregnant as well.

Diagnosis
Diagnosis is performed on both the partners to determine inability. If male is suspected, tests such as semen analysis, blood test for testosterone and other male hormones are conducted. If female infertility is suspected the following infertility diagnosis tests can be used depending upon the condition:
  • A blood test to check hormone levels
  • An endometrial biopsy to check the lining of the uterus
  • Hysterosalpingography (HSG)
  • Laparoscopy
